More Efficiency Thanks to the Circular Economy

The Tuscan company E-Repair, the only certified Siemens Service Partner in Italy for the repair of industrial electronic boards, has developed a certified revamping business process that makes it possible to repair electronic boards that are obsolete, out of production or difficult to find on the market. In addition, customized preventive maintenance solutions safeguard the system and reduce the possibility of failure, also reducing the costs of machine downtime.

In recent decades we have witnessed a radical change in the production system: companies no longer store finished products in their warehouses, but plan their productions according to the orders received. Thus, if the system fails and production stops, sales are immediately blocked. Furthermore, the machine downtime can affect the human resources involved in the faulty system. With this in mind, E-Repair, a company based in Livorno and active in the repair of industrial electronic boards, Siemens Service Partner and partner of Anima Confindustria Meccanica Varia (the Federation of National Associations of General Mechanical Industry), has launched a new project based on the circular economy.
The certified revamping process carried out by E-Repair makes it possible to repair industrial electronic boards that are obsolete, out of production or difficult to find on the market. In addition, customized preventive maintenance solutions safeguard the system and reduce the possibility of failure, thus reducing the time and costs of machine downtime.

Industry Service 4.0 supporting all companies
During the A&T fair in Turin, E-Repair had already anticipated the presentation of the Service 4.0 new services. On that occasion, for the first time in eleven years of activity, E-Repair attended a fair together with Siemens and TG Emme, the official Siemens Service Partner for the repair of industrial engines. During the last edition of the SPS exhibition in Parma, E-Repair showed a series of new services for the Industrial Service, aimed at raising awareness on the issue of environment-friendliness and the reuse/revamping of industrial components.
Industry Service 4.0 has been implemented not only to support companies facing the concept of Industry 4.0, but also for all companies that cannot afford long system downtime.

The importance of preventive maintenance
In addition to the revamping process, E-Repair has also developed a new process in preventive maintenance, developing customized solutions and other value-added services such as technological washing and data back-up, which reduce the possibility of failure on the line; moreover, the Tuscan company also carries out the advance of revamped products and, in the case of “customized” boards, they are able to create back-ups of the system strategic products, so that replacements for the damaged products are sent immediately.
“For E-Repair, the revamping of industrial electronic components is not just a business, but aspires to be an example in the reduction of industrial pollution, generating a new sensitivity in environmental liability” said Andrea Maci, director of E- Repair. “The company has taken steps to develop innovative processes capable of extending the life of industrial electronic parts, offering maintenance programs to facilitate the planning of preventive measures on the plant”.
