Rotary tables

Often enough, when designing and producing automation systems, it is necessary to position or handle details at an angle; in this respect, devices are used which have a limited size to adapt to the scarce available spaces but high performances in terms of precision and reliability.
The RTC rotary tables by Meccanica Besnatese are an ideal solution. They are manufactured in two sizes: a single block of aluminium (for lightness) with an external diameter of 90 or 120 mm, and a circular or square rotating platform, to provide the best fixing options for the item to be handled.

High performances provided by RTC tables derive particularly from the attention dedicated to choosing components for motion transmission and machining their housings.
The rotary movement is achieved by means of a worm gear in cemented and tempered steel, with a ground profile, matched with a bronze-aluminum wheel with a helical gear and practically no backlash.
The system used allows continuous 360° rotation with high precision repeatability in positioning and long working life.
The central rotating/load-bearing group rests on high precision ball bearings, with a light pre-load and lifelong lubrication.
Even though high performances in terms of applied loads are generally not requested, the adequate sizing allows maintenance of the initial properties for a high number of cycles without any maintenance.
RTC rotating tables can bear axial loads of up to 4,700 N, radial loads of up to 1,850 N and overturning torque of 65 Nm. They are recommended for use with manual or motorized positioning; in the first case, positioning is read by means of a measurement display, assisted by an absolute or incremental encoder applied directly on the rotation axis, with an angular resolution which may be programmed of up to 0.01°.
By means of the motorized control, the functional properties are defined depending on the application, completing the supply with a purposely-designed motor interface.
RTC tables are used in many industrial applications: special assembly machines, testing, optical controls, handlers and robotized systems in general; special equipment in the aeronautical and aerospace fields; metrological and electrical testing instruments; electromedical equipment; scientific research in all its branches; laser machines; positioning of products for etching, welding and more.
