Training Courses at the Start!

by Fabrizio Sasdelli, FEDERTEC Vice President

We are all experiencing a new situation that has swept away many of our certainties and has changed many of our habits. One of the few certain things is that, if we want to build a future for our companies, training remains crucial. One of FEDERTEC’s missions is precisely that of being able to offer member companies and potential members targeted training courses focused on topics of great interest and affordable for everyone.

As vice-president in charge of the Technology and Innovation Commission, I tried, together with the Technical Directors Club Head Engineer Sergio Sertori, Director Marco Ferrara, President Fausto Villa and the whole Commission, to start the first courses of the FEDERTEC Academy.
It is therefore with great satisfaction that I present the first catalogue of 10 courses covering topics such as the design and control of bearings and gears, component cleaning and industrial contamination, right down to cast iron foundry elements. The program will also include a course for Technical Sales staff.

The courses will be structured in modules of 4, 8 or 16 hours with a maximum of 4 hours per day in smart learning mode. We are preparing pills (either videos or short webinars) for the presentation of the courses that, hopefully, could already be operational in June/July 2020.
The courses will be held by FEDERTEC colleagues; we would like to thank them both for the interesting proposals and for offering courses at very competitive costs. One of the most important aims of an association is certainly networking, both internally and externally, with the companies that will be in charge of training and that will be able to get in touch with potential customers. Without doubt this is one of the most stimulating aspects of being part of FEDERTEC: creating relationships that are useful for one’s own expertise and for the company’s business.
For the success of the courses, each of us has a key role to play in disseminating information to potentially interested departments within companies and in ensuring timely registration.

This is only the first step; in fact we are preparing courses, that will be offered in the coming months, on Additive Manufacturing, Cold Spray Technology (SUPSI), Shot Peening, PVD and PaCVD Coatings, Intellectual Properties, Lean Selling and Commercial Organization during and after COVID19, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Seals. We will also try to organize web events where you can discuss about topics of common interest with experts, in round table mode.
Suggestions and proposals from member companies will be very important to optimize the process step by step. The FEDERTEC Academy has started, it is up to all of us to make it a fundamental tool for our companies.
