Serial axes can also be included in the calculations, for example when tripods are mounted on moving platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Safe robot\nmonitoring is implemented using the safety functions Safely Limited\nPosition, Safely Limited \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You can choose which point to\nmonitor<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Orientation, Safely\nLimited Joint Position and Safely Limited Speed. The user can choose\nwhether to monitor the tool centre point (TCP), individual joints or\nany other point on the robot. It is also possible to safely monitor\nmultiple points with regard to speed, orientation and position in\nspace. SafeROBOTICS functions are based on a generic description of\nthe kinematic chain in which the geometric properties of the robot\nare defined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Predictive monitoring\nfunctions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The safety\napplication can be isolated from the geometric definitions. This\nmakes it possible to switch to another tool with a different contour\nwithout having to touch the safety application itself. This saves the\ntime-consuming process of recertification. All monitoring functions\nare predictive in nature, making it possible to stop movements at the\nright time.
