About us

A&L – Alluminio & Leghe was created thirty years ago following the experience of the prestigious Alluminio Nuova Metallurgia magazine, founded in 1931 and afterwards supported by Novara’s Experimental Institute for Light Metals. Today A&L is a modern communication instrument dedicated to the value chain of aluminium and its alloys, with an editorial program which deals with the international market, the different production phases and successive machining and processing (primary and secondary metal, semis, particularly extrusions and rolled products, foundry castings and die castings, technology, plant, equipment and product suppliers), use, recovery and recycling. The professional competence of the editorial board and a solid cooperation with industry associations and the main institutions in the segment allow A&L to provide information relative to economics and markets, technologies and plants, corporate developments and innovations, for general managers, plant managers, production, marketing, sales and purchasing managers, researchers, technical and corporate consultants, metallurgists and operations engineers in production plants, all over the world. Available in printed and digital formats, the magazine is bi-monthly and bilingual (English and Italian) and its average circulation is 6,000 printed copies per issue (69% in Italy, 31% abroad) and 35,000 digital copies (64% in Italy, 35% abroad); these are distributed the world over to a selected mailing list of subscribers, advertisers and readers covering the entire value chain of the industry, from production to the main final applications, such as packaging, automotive and aerospace industry, building and constructions, furnishing and structural uses. All issues of the magazine in their pdf version may be consulted free of charge on the aluminiumandalloys.com website where the main flash news item are published; these are also shared on social media such as facebook, twitter and linkedin. A&L as from 197 has been the partner magazine for communication regarding the international METEF event, the show for customized technology for the aluminium industry, foundry and innovative metals, which for over twenty years has represented the system of the industry’s professional operators.
